Christina Fuchs is a composer, saxophonist and clarinettist. With an emphasis on the fusion of written and improvised music, she works in a variety of ensembles in fields as diverse as new music, theater, improvised music and jazz. Her work includes concerts as well as collaborations with other art forms such as dance, visual arts, literature, spoken word, documentary films and theater. She holds leading positions in her ensembles "No Tango Quartet", "No Tango & Strings", "Flux", "KontraSax", "Fuchsthone Orchestra" and the musicians' collective "Soniq". www.christinafuchs.de

Sascha Ley explores the boundaries at the interfaces of jazz, free improvisation, imaginary folklore, classical, avant-garde and new music, creating a complementary blend of improvisation and composition. The singer, improviser, actress, polyglot poet and performer appears internationally both solo and with her own formations and as a guest in a variety of ensembles ranging from jazz to contemporary music. Ramesh Shotham is a bridge builder between East and West. Born and raised in South India and originally the rock drummer in one of India's most successful bands, "Human Bondage", he turned increasingly to the music of his home country and to jazz, working from the 1990s onwards with jazz visionaries such as saxophonists Steve Coleman and Charlie Mariano, composer Carla Bley and oud player Rabih Abou Khalil. He founded his own band "Madras Special" and has also been working with Christina Fuchs in the Cologne musicians' collective "Soniq" for a long time.
