We are rebuilding for you! In the coming months and years, we will be renovating the museum building technically and the content of the MKK exhibitions. To do this, we will have to store parts of the permanent exhibition and close individual rooms and entire floors. As part of the guided tour "Baustelle, Schaustelle" (Building site, showplace), we will shed light on the exciting history and future of the museum. In addition to the historical significance of the building as the headquarters of the savings bank, we will discuss its transformation into a museum. Participants will also learn how the MKK is being modernized through structural and content-related changes and which topics are relevant for the museum of the present and future.
