In the organizer's words:

March 11, 2011 - a day that is indelibly etched in our collective memory. The reactor disaster in Fukushima demonstrated the uncontrollable risks associated with the use of nuclear energy. But what has really changed since then? What dangers still exist? And how do we deal with the threat of nuclear power today?

This event will shed light on the current situation in Fukushima, the protests against nuclear waste transportation in Germany and the health risks of a nuclear incident.

Our speakers & topics:

• Yoko Schlütermann reports on the current situation in Fukushima and the challenges facing the energy company TEPCO.
• Felix Ruwe (BI Ahaus) informs about the ongoing resistance against nuclear waste transports to Ahaus.
• Dr. Jürgen Huesmann (Doctors' Peace Initiative) talks about medical precautions and the health consequences of a nuclear war.
