Fünfgezackt in die Hand Arbeiten mit / um / für Musik Ulrike Dornis | Jens Hanke | Edition Juliane Klein

In the organizer's words:

Edition Juliane Klein is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024 with the exhibition Fünfgezackt in die Hand.

The exhibition operates at the interface between visual art and music: it opens up spaces, shifts genre boundaries and examines the changing relationships between the two art forms as well as space as a social category. Artistic experience and reflection on content stand side by side on an equal footing.

At the center of the exhibition are the two Berlin artists Ulrike Dornis and Jens Hanke, who are also curating the entire exhibition. They have been working closely and intensively with the composer Juliane Klein and Edition Juliane Klein for over 20 years. In addition to current artistic works by Ulrike Dornis and Jens Hanke, graphic works created for the publishing house will be shown, as well as cross-media and cross-genre works by the composers represented by the edition: Sound installations, video works, graphic scores and autographs.

The exhibition will be accompanied by daily events: Performances, lectures, discussions, workshops and, of course, music.

We look forward to a lively visit and cordially invite all interested parties to the vernissage and opening concert!
