The young funk band Funky Times can certainly be described as an internet sensation.
Their virtuoso, funky, upbeat videos have regularly gone viral on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok since their formation in early 2020 and have resulted in numerous collaborations with musicians from all over the world, such as bassist Henrik Linder from Dirty Loops and former Prince trumpeter Philip Lassiter. Funk legend Candy Dulfer also became aware of them: "One of my favorite new bands", she said about Funky Times and even invited the band to her concert series "Candy's Choice" in Amsterdam.
Groovy basslines meet a singing drummer, virtuoso keyboard solos meet funky guitar riffs. The band from the Aschaffenburg area, dressed in colorful Windbreaker tracksuits, simply knows how to set the mood.
