A new play! We announced it at the beginning of the season, now it's here: With "future 2 (lose your self)", the multi-award-winning author fritz kater has written a science fiction road movie of the future for the Saarland State Theatre. He tackles questions that are already virulent today: Will the future of humanity be dominated by AI, cyborgs (i.e. hybrid beings between machine and human) and androids? Can artificially created systems penetrate our emotional world and replace human closeness? Will we have sex with machines? Or will robots, androids and AI become state control bodies that completely monitor our lives? Will the earth still be habitable for humans?

fritz kater comments: "the future is an extension of the present/past and also not/ while reading I realize that everything can turn out as it says/ but also doesn't have to/
the seemingly dystopian description could be much worse but also much better/ of course it is really a question of what is good and bad and it became very clear to me that it is very much up to each individual what will be in 20/30 years/
so how our children will live then/and the rest of us/ that means/that the play is also a challenge to find one's own position with the help of the text and to act accordingly..."
