FUTURE (MUSS JA) - Getup-Standup mit Ecco Meineke

Ecco Meineke, Munich's creative berserker #1 has done it again! And as always: this time it's different!

With his 5th solo program FUTURE (must be) he is taking a new path. Not classic cabaret, but not comedy either. He calls it "Getup-Standup" and was recently a guest at Michael Mittermeier's Lucky Punch Club.

People have to have a future, otherwise they'll just go through the motions. That's fine, but it can get boring at some point. Especially when you realize that there is a lot that could be changed. Many people despair because they are overwhelmed and helpless in the face of the so-called "division of society". Is it divided? And if so, hasn't it always been like this?

This program whets the appetite for the future, it is - as the Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote about its premiere in the well-filled Theater im Schlachthof:

"The only way to a viable future...
Almost two hours of pure performance from top to bottom.
Not a second is boring."

Ecco Meineke recently shone as Friedrich Merz in the ZDF satire program Die Anstalt, and for many years he was a member and in-house author in the Lach- und Schieß ensemble. He wrote and sang the songs for the movie Der Schuh des Manitu, wrote the new production of the musical Der Watzmann for the Deutsches Theater, the play Das Spil about Janusz Korczak, published his satirical biography in book form in 2024(Ich sehe bereits einen Tunnel am Ende des Lichtes, Alibi Verlag), has been a musician for decades as "Ecco DiLorenzo" with his soul and jazz formations, as well as a folky singer-songwriter, chansonnier and much more:
