Future Sounds. Sampling, Loops und Beats: Ein Kulturrucksack-Workshop für Klangkünstler*Innen

FUTURE SOUNDS. Sampling, loops and beats | free sound art workshop for 10-14-year-olds | August 11-15, 2025 (5th week of the summer vacations) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. + four dates after the summer holidays

This Kulturrucksack workshop is all about the art of sound. You will create unique works of sound art using a variety of different elements: Original sounds, sampled environmental noises, manipulated voices, interviews, music, etc.

We will use audio recorders and various microphones to hunt for the best sounds. We will process the sounds with samplers, step sequencers, effects units, mixing consoles and other devices. We will write the narrator's texts together and alter the recordings with voice transformers.

We will publish our sound art works on NRWision and the youth radio station of the Kulturrucksack, Kurux. We can also present our projects live - in the mex-Keller of the Künstlerhaus!
