Galaxis - Zupfmusik from Outer Space

Plucked string ensembles from the Folkwang Music School Essen and the Bergische Musikschule Wuppertal perform together.

The audience is taken on a musical journey through the galaxy with a large plucked string ensemble. Well-known melodies from the universe of Star Wars and Star Trek will be played as well as the theme music from "Raumpatrouille Orion".

The cooperation between the plucked string ensembles of the Folkwang Music School of the City of Essen and the Bergische Musikschule Wuppertal has now existed for 8 years. Numerous concerts and joint projects such as a concert film have been realized together. Every year in the fall, the two ensembles come together for a big concert with mandolins, guitars, harps and basses.
