Gardening together

The CARLsGARTEN in front of the depot is a long-term artistic project. In recent years, it has grown into a meeting place. A green island has been created on the former Carlswerk industrial site, which was previously an empty concrete area.
Once a month, anyone interested has the opportunity to join in the urban gardening project in front of the depot. The pizza oven is fired up and various workshops invite you to get creative.

"Planting out" - 18 MAY - 13.00-18.00 hrs

On this day we will prepare the garden for planting out our favorite vegetables. With Julia you will get to know the wild herbs in the Carlsgarten. Afterwards you will collect them to prepare delicious herb pizzas in our oven together with Diego. There will also be a "No Waste Art" painting course on Tetra Pak with Alexander Jakimenko, a performance with Felipe about the appreciation of nature and its protection and care, as well as a spoken word and live music performance with Moonlit Brooks. Donations on site and registration at carlsgarten@schauspiel.koeln are requested.

"Blooming" - 15 JUNE - 13:00-18:00

Shortly before the summer solstice, we invite you to the blossom festival in the CARLsGARTEN. Alexander and Diego will show you how to paint with the plants and flowers. After a herb tour with Julia, she will prepare delicious wild herb summer rolls with you. DJ El Magnífico will accompany us with summer music. The Fridabar is open and offers garden cocktails.
