Guided tour: Dacheröden House - a treasure with history
Dacheröden House on Erfurt's Anger is an important cultural site with a fascinating past. Great minds such as Schiller and Goethe were once guests here. In 1791, Wilhelm von Humboldt married the educated and charming Caroline von Dacheröden, who shaped social life as the daughter of the house and a cultural personality. Her wide-ranging contacts even led to Friedrich Schiller's engagement at the house.
The Renaissance building was created from the "Haus zum Goldenen Hecht" and the "Haus zum Großen und Neuen Schiff" and became a semi-detached house in 1833. It is still one of Erfurt's architectural jewels today. After a fire in August 2006, the house was extensively renovated and reopened as a unique cultural space, which has been brought to life as a versatile cultural and event venue by the Erfurter Herbstlese e. V. association since 2017.
Experience this exciting history on a guided tour as part of the 32nd Erfurt Monument Days under the motto of the German Foundation for Monument Protection: "Valuable-full: priceless or irreplaceable?".
