The loyal fan base can breathe a sigh of relief and anyone who doesn't know the Leipzig band around mastermind Sebastian Söllner should definitely be excited. Söllner's voice, somewhere between Tom Yorke and Robert Smith, characterizes the band's sound. Wave, post-punk, guitar pop - Lament seeks and finds its own path - sometimes as light-footed as a somnambulistic dance through a sunny lavender field, sometimes as melancholy as a barefoot march at blue hour in an alpine glacier landscape. In addition to Sebastian Söllner's vocals, Lament is above all the unmistakable riffing of Thomas Gumprecht, who is also known from "Die Art". A fat bass groove, the tight drums and finely programmed electronic finesse complete the sound panorama.
