In the organizer's words:

At a time when democracy is being called into question by some and majorities are being accepted with votes from parties that are in part securely on the far right, we would like to reflect together with you:

How can we not only defend our democratic values, but keep them alive and positive?

How can we ourselves actively help to overcome populism and exclusion as a society and as people?

We have invited four exciting and inspiring guests to talk about this, who deal with the topic of "living democracy" in different ways in their everyday lives and will share their experiences from politics, culture and civic engagement with us.

They will talk about what democracy means in their everyday lives and what motivates them to actively support democratic processes. Nada Assaad will lead the discussion.

Moderation:
Nada Assaad is a journalist, moderator and author. In her professional career, she has supervised projects on behalf of the Federal Agency for Civic Education and WDR. In her journalistic work, Nada is interested in social grievances and cultural change.
