Gelprint - Workshop im April

In the organizer's words:

Discover the endless possibilities of gel printing, a mixture of letterpress printing and collage! In this workshop, you will create unique prints using a special gel plate, paints and stencils, experimenting with numerous everyday objects. Step by step, you will learn how to layer colors, create textures, transfer photos and design your own expressive works of art. Tips and tricks from our experienced instructor included.

How does gel printing work?
We use a rubber roller to apply the colors to the gel plate
We use stencils, stamps, natural materials (e.g. leaves) or everyday objects (e.g. lace, bubble wrap) to give the paint a texture.
We place a sheet of paper on the plate, press it on and peel it off - and the print is finished!

Laser prints and images from magazines with high contrast can also be transferred to paper.

Our experienced instructor and artist Martina Justus is there to help and advise!

No previous knowledge required.

Feel free to bring various other effect materials to experiment with: Newspapers, magazines, laser prints with high contrast, plants, pastel or wax crayons, ballpoint pens, modeling clay, feathers, yarn, buttons, washers, etc.
