Gemeinsame Wege für zukunftsfähige Kooperationen: Commons-Public-Partnerships als ein Lösungsbaustein?

In the organizer's words:

For a long time now, various actors have been working on the transition to a solidarity-based, more sustainable and fairer economy. Social movements, initiatives, science, politics and administration are discussing alternative economic approaches. This raises the question of how local, self-organized initiatives can work in partnership with public administration.

The event looks at the cooperation between initiatives oriented towards the common good and the public sector. It deals with questions of cooperative production, management and use of resources and sheds light on the topic with a constructive and critical perspective on commons and commons-public partnerships.

Commons are common goods that are managed and maintained through a lively local practice of self-organized people. In principle, any resource can be a commons.

The term "public sector" covers all state institutions and organizations that manage public funds, e.g. at municipal or federal level. It may support initiatives in accessing infrastructure, recognize new forms of administration and usage rights or act as a platform for networking.

But to what extent can the commons perspective contribute to promoting sustainable cooperation between the public sector and initiatives for the sustainable development of the common good?

We want to explore this question with you.
