With their glamorous entertainment revue, the RuhrgebietsSpatzen celebrate the subversive potential of the German-language Schlager. They let different female characters have their say: From Claire Waldoff to Giorgia Meloni, with Zarah Leander and Alice Weidel, from Marine Le Pen back to Marlene Dietrich - female singers, entertainers and politicians. They deal with popular German-language music from the 1920s to the 1950s and current nationalist politics in (Western) Europe. In this purple night, Pani Kostka and Mercedes Tuccini take their audience into a dazzling world between politics, propaganda and night culture: "Get the men out of the Reichstag!" (Claire Waldoff / Friedrich Hollaender)
Just in time for the weekend of Christopher Street Day, the day of celebration, commemoration and demonstration against discrimination and exclusion of queer people and for a diverse society, the RuhrgebietSpatzen come to Bavaria and ridicule right-wing agitation through travesty, satire, burlesque, subversion and humor. Come along to the experimental music show in the experimental space of "Hallo, mein Name ist Kunstbau."
