German Burlesque Festival: Welcome to Burlesque - VIP Opening Night

A glamorous kick-off awaits Hamburg: On August 28, 2025, none other than Dita von Teese - the undisputed Queen of Burlesque - will personally open the exclusive VIP Opening Night of the 1st International German Burlesque Festival (GBF). Organizer and artist Belle la Donna is bringing this unique event to Germany for the first time, making Hamburg the center of the international burlesque scene for three days.

Glamor, sensuality & diversity - that's the GBF
From August 28 to 30, 2025, Hamburg will be transformed into a stage for the fascinating world of burlesque - elegant, shrill, classic and modern at the same time. The festival brings together artists from all over the world and invites fans, the curious and enthusiasts to a sensual and dazzling experience. The festival kicks off at Olivia Jones' legendary Bunny Burlesque: Only 260 guests enjoy an exclusive foretaste at "Welcome to Burlesque".

Big gala - big emotions
On August 29, the festival culminates in the show highlight: "The Grand Shimmy & Shake Award Gala" at the Edelfettwerk. Breathtaking performances, walking acts, magic, fortune-telling, a red carpet and an exuberant after-party with Obsession - The Club and DJ Martink promise an unforgettable evening. The new "Queen or King of Burlesque" will be crowned at the big competition.

Offspring, party & farewell in style
On August 30, the spotlight will be on the next generation: "We please to tease" in the Nochtspeicher gives fresh talent a stage. Afterwards, the after-show party will be another exuberant celebration.

World-class line-up & workshops to take part in
International stars such as Sheila Wolf, Belle la Donna, Tara la Luna, Setty Mois, Chris Oh, Lilly Mortis and Katerina Sahara will be performing. Special highlight: Pandora Nox, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race Germany 2023, performs live and sits on the jury. If you want to get creative yourself, you can take part in exclusive workshops with top-class artists.
