In the organizer's words:

The history of Black people in our city has hardly been presented in the Historical Museum Hannover. We want to change that! We want to fill this gap in the museum's collection and displays. To this end, we are launching a participatory process with the community. The first step is a workshop in which we want to explore this topic from various perspectives. The event will take place at the end of Black History Month and is intended to contribute to anchoring the work of the museum and public awareness of the history of Black people in Hanover beyond this month. In cooperation with the Anti-Discrimination Office of the City of Hanover, the ZeitZentrumZivilcourage and Schwarze Schafe e.V.
