Actor Jörg Hartmann presents his debut novel "Der Lärm des Lebens" and talks to Rebecca Link about his origins, home and the desire to discover the world.
In his book, actor and Dortmund crime scene inspector Jörg Hartmann tells his story and that of his family. Whether it's about his deaf grandparents under National Socialism, his mother's wisdom, his father's dementia or key encounters he had as an actor - Hartmann always strikes a balance between tragedy and comedy.
In an authentic tone, he describes his beginnings as an ambitious drama student, takes the reader back to his childhood in tranquil Herdecke, tells of shattered and realized dreams and spans the arc to the corona period, which offered him an opportunity for reorientation as an actor and as a person.
"Geschichte(n) mit Rheinblick" is a series of events organized by the Haus der Geschichte Nordrhein-Westfalen.
The reading will take place at the Künstlerverein Malkasten, Jacobistr. 6a in Düsseldorf. Free admission.
