Whether restaurant, café, food truck or nightclub: GESCHMACKSTALENTE offers coaching, expertise and €80,000 in prize money for up-and-coming Dortmund restaurateurs.

The GESCHMACKSTALENTE competition, which is unique in Germany, will enter its fourth round on February 26 with a public kick-off event. The economic development agency is once again looking for founders who want to enrich Dortmund's gastronomy scene with individual concepts and benefit from professional support on the way to opening. Also eligible to participate are restaurateurs who have opened their restaurant after 01.03.2023 and are interested in reviewing or further developing their business model.

The kick-off event at the "Nansen" restaurant in Heimathafen is the starting signal for all interested parties and participants. Find out all the details and the conditions of participation in the competition and make your first contacts in the Dortmund restaurant scene. Exchange ideas with former participants, get to know your potential coach and lay the foundations for successful participation in the competition.

GESCHMACKSTALENTE is a nationwide open competition. Participation in the start-up competition is free of charge. What is expected is a passion for gastronomy and the willingness to present the concept in a business plan and then implement it at a location in Dortmund.
