Gespräch mit dem Künstlerinnen-Kollektiv FORT und Katalog-Release

In the organizer's words:

The artist collective FORT, consisting of Alberta Niemann (*1982 in Bremen) and Jenny Kropp (*1978 in Frankfurt/Main), combines art and everyday life in a special way. They conjure up stories of impressive intensity with pointedly applied means. They are currently showing their works in the FANTASY ISLAND exhibition, which covers more than 800 m²: from large-format sculptures and enigmatic objects to expansive installations. In conversation with curator Ingo Clauß, FORT give an insight into their artistic work. What inspires them? What social role does art play for them? What is it like to work as a duo? From their early beginnings in Bremen to projects at home and abroad, they will also discuss their latest works and projects.

Finally, the accompanying exhibition catalog will be presented (hardcover, 80 pages, 29 euros at the museum box office).
