Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence

Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence is set in the year 2032, three years after the first film. The line between man and machine is blurred almost beyond recognition. While police officer Batou from the anti-terrorist unit "Public Security Section 9" is still trying to come to terms with the disappearance of the Major, he is assigned the case of Hadaly-type gynoids - a new type of female robot created as sexual companions who have started killing their owners for no apparent reason. Moreover, none of the victims' families have apparently tried to sue Locus Solus, the company that manufactures the faulty robots. In the course of the investigation, the almost fully cybernetic Batou and his still mostly human partner Togusa must contend with brutal yakuza thugs, devious hackers, government officials and white-collar criminals to uncover the shocking truth behind the crime.
