Four concerts in Germany in November

Cologne, September 02, 2024 - Italian guitarist Giacomo Turra is coming to Germany for four shows in November. He will be performing at the Leverkusen Jazz Days on 9.11., at Hamburg's Knust on 10.11., at Frankfurt's Nachtleben on 11.11. and at the famous Quasimodo in Berlin on 12.11. Tickets for these concerts are now available in presale at www.eventim.de. The official presale starts on Friday, September 6th at 9.00 am.

Giacomo Turra, born in Milan in 1997, began playing the guitar as a self-taught guitarist at the age of 13, fascinated by his father's records by Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Weather Report. In the years that followed, he was part of various music projects that moved between R&B, funk and jazz.

In March 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, when it was not possible to give concerts, Giacomo decided to create an Instagram account. It wasn't long before his first videos went viral and reached millions of views. This allowed Giacomo to become an artist for D'Angelico Guitars in New York and gain a following of hundreds of thousands of followers from all over the world.

In July 2021, Giacomo began releasing songs. His first album "The Groove Sessions" initially contained rearranged covers such as "Virtual Insanity" or "24k Magic". In August 2022, he released his first single "Get Into The Groove" and began collaborations with international RnB and funk artists. In April 2024, he released the song "Slapocalypse" with bass virtuoso Charles Berthoud from the UK, which received more than 4 million views in just one week.

After opening for Joss Stone at the Soul Live Festival and performing at various festivals around the world such as the Java Jazz Festival in Indonesia and Jazz By The Cove in Singapore, Giacomo Turra played his first headlining tour in 2023 with over 50 concerts in the USA, Canada and Europe, most of which were sold out.

In November 2024, dates outside of Italy are finally coming up again. At these shows, you can also look forward to the live interpretation of the new songs from the EP "Giacomo Turra", which was released in June 2024. Giacomo will be accompanied on his tour by the band The Funky Minutes.
