Gianni Brezzo, the jazz-savvy band and studio project of Cologne-based producer maestro Marvin Horsch, offers a diverse musical spectrum that is reflected not only in genre-hopping but above all in its creative output. In addition to producing for Cologne-based bands such as Keshavara, Woman and Xul Zolar, Gianni Brezzo has released a series of EPs and LPs since 2017, including 2021's "The Awakening", which features Berlin/Tel Aviv-based singer/producer J. Lamotta and soul singer Otis Junior from Louisville, Kentucky.
His latest album "Filigrani" from 2024 is further evidence of the continuous sonic growth and experimentation that drives Gianni's music to new heights. The meticulously crafted tracks were recorded live in the studio and capture the raw energy and creativity of Brezzo's jazz-driven genius. "Filigrani" represents a unique fusion, seamlessly blending catchy jazz-funk progressions with touches of ambient electronics and lush instrumentation. Brezzo invites the listener into a world where guitar melodies mingle with subtle drum beats, dreamy harps and the enchanting whispers of saxophones and flutes. The result? A groove-driven masterpiece that pushes the boundaries of sonic art.
