Kulturhaus Schwanen invites you to the next Greek fusion folk-pop concert evening on Friday, May 2, 2025: This time, Gidiki from Athens will be presenting their innovative Greek folk, which combines tradition and modernity in a unique way.

Gidiki are masters of fusion and are known for their energetic live performances, which interweave elements of traditional Greek music with improvised and modern sounds. The five-piece band creates a rousing concert experience that they themselves describe as a "modern urban celebration". Their repertoire includes original compositions as well as new interpretations of traditional songs from various regions of Greece.

The band members - Tasos Koufodimos (lute), Konstantinos Lazos (clarinet, bagpipes, guitar), Konstantis Papakonstantinou (percussion) and Thodoris Sioutis (violin) - are masters of their craft and virtuosos and know how to inspire their audience with their joy of playing and improvisation. After their successful debut album "AHOY" (2023), the band followed up with "Perasma" (Passage, 2024). The second album is a musical journey through various regions of Greece and presents traditional songs in new, exciting arrangements.
