Slow Club presents: GIGOLO TEARS + TIGRREZ PUNCH & performance by HOUSE OF DREGS

As a pop newcomer from Berlin, GIGOLO TEARS is currently making waves.

But the artist has been making radically soft, queer-feminist cry pop between indie, hyperpop and rap since 2021.

Feminist rage, zeitgeist and queer joy are sometimes translated into danceable, sometimes emotional songs.

Features with LILA SOVIA, Power Plush & Trille have already attracted attention in 2024.

And anyone who didn't have the menstrual anthem "Cramps" as a catchy tune in 2024 must have been dubbing under a rock on social media.

Gigolo Tears has at least announced a new EP for 2025. We are excited!

TIGRREZ PUNCH

"Put some respect on my name! I have no cash, I have no fame", it blasts loudly from the speakers - but what Tigrrez Punch has in abundance is plenty of queer-feminist power, fuck-off attitude and exceptional talent.

Between rrrrriot trap, pop and punk, Tigrrez Punch from Bielefeld not only love to break genre boundaries, they also regularly break the shackles of the patriarchy.

The invariably infectious vibe moves between angry punchlines, laid-back flows and danceable club hits - sometimes aggressive, sometimes soft.

Bass-heavy beatboards meet a sassy, lascivious voice and are sometimes garnished with queer-feminist statements between the lines, sometimes directly in your face.

There is also a big, fat wink when profound topics are addressed in a humorous and accessible way.

The musical genre clash with political aspirations provides a wildly flashing ray of hope in the gloomy, cis-male dominated rap landscape and the songs feel like the eighth of March at the bumper cars.

Tigrrez Punch's tracks are banging, but in a sweet way - and develop into a veritable explosion of energetic stage presence, collective demolition and entertaining crowd control at live shows - cotton candy mosh pit included!

This has already been impressively demonstrated at notorious venues such as Fusion, c/o pop Festival and KLP Wendland
