The pianist of Gen Z

Some of the photos on his Instagram profile suggest that Giorgi Gigashvili is more likely to be in a Berlin techno club than on a classical concert stage. For the Georgian pianist, born in 2000, these worlds are not so contradictory - one moment he is playing sonatas by Scarlatti, the next he is singing and accompanying folk songs from his homeland and shortly afterwards experimenting with electronic music. And with success: prizes at prestigious piano competitions, a place among the most influential "30 under 30" in the Georgian Forbes magazine and a nomination as a "Rising Star" by the European Concert Hall Organization characterize his young career.
