Godewind – Weihnachtskonzert

"When it snows". This is the name of the current Christmas album with which Godewind will be going on a big Christmas tour again this year. The show combines many fresh songs as well as traditional moments from over 40 years of band history. Godewind has developed in a modern direction in terms of personnel and sound, while at the same time reflecting on its own roots, so that the right mix is guaranteed for all fans. With success. The first Christmas tour, which took place again in 2023 after a "forced break" of several years, was a complete success, as the band managed to combine tradition and zeitgeist.

A journey through the pre-Christmas period has many facets. In High and Low German, the band sings about winter, the Christmas market, Nordic customs and the big celebration. In addition to all the tradition, a concert by Godewind at Christmas is above all entertaining, as there are many cheerful moments in some of the songs as well as in the obligatory story. Godewind invites you on a winter journey at their Christmas concerts, with songs such as "Wenn es schneit", "Adventskalender" and "Wiehnachtstied" offering plenty of groovy moments. On the other hand, classics such as "Winter in't Watt" or some traditional Christmas carols, where the audience is invited to sing along, are quiet and mystical.

And it is precisely these goosebump moments that make a Godewind concert an unforgettable experience for the audience. For many families, going to a concert is as much a part of Christmas as stollen, punch and a gingerbread house. So it's no wonder that the phrase "Now Christmas can come" is often heard after the concerts.
