Golden Diskó Ship

[DE] As Golden Diskó Ship, Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist Theresa Stroetges operates on the fringes of experimental music, but also explores the possibilities of established structures. Her forthcoming fifth album "Oval Sun Patch" is perhaps her catchiest yet. Influenced by club culture and progressive electronic music, their unconventional pop sound is beat-driven, playful, atmospheric and at times downright anthemic.

[As Golden Diskó Ship, the Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist Theresa Stroetges moves through the fringes of experimental music, but also explores the possibilities of tried and tested formulas. Her upcoming fifth album "Oval Sun Patch" is perhaps her catchiest to date. Drawing on influences from club culture and advanced electronic music, her unconventional pop sound is beat-driven, playful, atmospheric, and at times thoroughly anthemic.

[DE] The two Munich residents of Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstädter* are rich in variety in the realm of the analog-digital: coding, frying, synthesizing and singing. Nothing is too good for Glump not to make sound out of it. Sound that sometimes catches melodies like feathers, but often lets them fly free. What remains at the end is the experience that there is something beautiful in everything that is sad.

[Things get diverse with the two artists from Munich's Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district in the realm of the analog-digital: there's live coding, viola playing, synthesizing, and singing. Nothing is too junky to be turned into sound. Sound that sometimes catches melodies like feathers, but often lets them fly free. What remains in the end is the experience that even in sadness, there is something beautiful.

[DE] Before the concert: DJ Mighty Mess starts her sound journey with a wild mixture of dreamy, distorted and scratchy sounds. Coupled with a dose of drumming and banging, the evening becomes a summery spritz, mixed with a variety of familiar and unconventional sounds from shoegaze, kraut, indie, C86 and avant-garde.
