Goldstück - Theaterkollektiv Pièrre.Vers

The Düsseldorf theater collective Pièrre.Vers is a guarantee for gripping contemporary theater with high political relevance. Following the acclaimed "Historification" cycle, which dealt with Nazi crimes in Düsseldorf, the current productions are dedicated to events of right-wing violence and threats to democracy. "Goldstück" focuses on the dangerous development of right-wing actors and parties rolling back democratic and liberal achievements. The play tells the story of a woman who tries to break out of the vicious circle of domestic violence and financial dependency and is confronted with bureaucratic hurdles and the loss of offers of help on a daily basis.
