Good Sister, Bad Sister
A music festival to connect & recharge

We invite you: On 30.11.2024 the music festival Good Sister, Bad Sister will take place at ZIRKA. A wide variety of artists from Munich's FLINTA+ music scene will present their work in a relaxed atmosphere - we invite everyone to explore the different positions, exchange ideas and recharge their batteries.

At 5 pm we start with a program of different collectives, artists & initiatives of the city: DJ workshops, film screening, nail salon, music talks, an exhibition, sound sculpture & more. We are looking forward to the WUT Kollektiv, We Won't Shut Up, the FLINTA+-Stammtisch from Import-Export, Fachstelle Pop, Manuela Illera, Native Fruits & Fepar, Queer:raum München, Safe the Dance and Buch & Bohne. This is for you!

Ebow opens the concert evening at 7 pm with an intro. The rapper, who grew up in Munich, opens the evening with her very own view of the scene and the city. Afterwards, musician and choir director Pola Dobler will present the only commissioned work of the festival. She has put together a supergroup of Munich voices just for this evening: The Witches of Westend meet singers Lizki, Maria Hafner, Hanna Sikasa, Karolin Knote and Ly Nguyen and perform their version of feminist pop anthems that empower and connect in the halls of ZIRKA.

Vandalisbin

The queer-feminist band led by Munich-based multi-instrumentalist Helena Niederstrasser combines indie pop, neo-soul and punk. They move between the poles of queer sexuality, love, violence and self-empowerment. Her lyrics are poetic and humorous, somehow raw and oppressively beautiful, inspired by contemporary rap and timeless classics such as Hildegard Knef, Nina Simone and Rio Reiser. A new, explosive sound that is both angry and tender. Full of Energy & Love !

Philo Tsoungui

The Berlin-based drummer, composer and producer began her musical journey and career in Munich and is now known internationally around the globe in a wide variety of music scenes. She will be performing her recently created solo set for the first time in Munich. Her avant-garde works explore the boundaries of rhythm and identity, mixing pop, jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat and classical percussion with the drums at the center. We are very happy to welcome Philo!

TAF Turkish-Armenian-Friendship

Founded in 2022 by artists Veronica Burnuthian and Gülbin Ünlü, TAF stands for collective expression and sends signals of friendship and solidarity in the midst of cultural and political complexities.

Cosma Joy & Band

The German-British singer-songwriter from Munich is known for her "sad girl indie pop", which combines influences from folk, jazz and rock music. Surrounded by music and art from an early age, Cosma began writing her own songs at the age of 11. Her direct and autobiographical lyricism reflects her experiences as a queer, neuro-diverse FLINTA+ person and explores themes of body image, consent, generational trauma and healing. She comes to Good Sister, Bad Sister and we are very happy with a big live band!
