St. Martini impresses with a multitude of gravestones, each of which reveals a unique story. From a young mother's search for healing for herself and her unborn child to the tragic fate of an officer who was mistakenly stabbed to death by a Brunswick man because he thought he was a soldier of the Duke of Wolfenbüttel - each inscription tells a chapter of the moving past of this historic site.

Depending on availability and on request, a visit to St. Blasii Cathedral and St. Ägidien Church is also possible:

Experience fascinating life stories in the heart of Brunswick Cathedral. Descend to the princely crypt of the Guelphs. Learn about a gravestone "where three children rest under a heavenly shamrock, who had previously rested under one heart." The former rooms of the Benedictine monastery contain a gravestone with an unexpected arithmetic problem, left by the principal of the monastery school.

Discover obvious and hidden inscriptions, signs and symbols on a walk through the town. Experience the order of days gone by.

An event in cooperation with the cemetery administration of the Braunschweiger Land Protestant Provost's Association.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the museum ticket office or directly at the meeting point. Only cash payment is possible on site.
If the minimum number of 7 participants is not reached one week before the event, the castle museum reserves the right to cancel it.
