Who owns the city of tomorrow? In the immersive theater experience "Grey Energy - Negotiating the Future of Our City", you slip into the role of city councillors and immerse yourself in a fictitious city council meeting. Without discussing it yourself, you will experience how the future of our cities is negotiated. Representatives from housing cooperatives, urban planning and the real estate industry present future scenarios: Demolition or conversion? Vacancy or appropriation? Displacement or right to the city? Waste of resources or climate justice?

Well-founded impulses from civil society and interest groups make political processes emotionally tangible. In the end, the decision is up to you: Which vision will you implement? What course will you set for the future? Vote with a show of hands and help shape the future!

Annalena Maas, born in Saarbrücken, completed her Bachelor's degree in German Studies at the University of Hamburg and worked at various theaters in Hamburg during her studies. Such as the Altonaer Theater and at Kampnagel. After graduating, she assisted Dusan Parizek, Roger Vontobel, Karin Henkel and Jan Philipp Gloger, among others, at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. She studied directing at the Theaterakademie August Everding. She graduated in 2017 at the Stadttheater Ingolstadt with "Terror". Outside of her studies, she directed the opera "Arsenikblüten" as part of EigenArten and "Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank" at the Kammerspiele Wiesbaden. "Frankenstein" at Theater Salz und Pfeffer in Nuremberg and "If dogs run free" at Theater Augsburg as well as "Baumarkt lockere Schreibe" a play developed by people with physical disabilities in the creative laboratory of Pfennigparade Munich. Since 2024 she has also been trained as an intimacy coordinator and works with power sensitivity. Her always feminist productions are characterized by high musicality. With great seriousness, she devotes herself to the humorous presentation of stories and facts.

ARCH+ was founded in 1967 and is dedicated to the critical reflection and communication of the social demands of architecture and urban development, often embedded in broader cultural and ecological discourses. In addition to the magazine, ARCH+ conceives and realizes exhibitions and discussion events. These include the exhibition Cohabitation: A Manifesto for Solidarity of Animals and Humans in Urban Space (2021-22), the international touring exhibitions An Atlas of Commoning (2018-28) and Post-Oil City (2010-17) in collaboration with ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen). Most recently, ARCH+ co-curated the German Pavilion at the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale with the project Open for Maintenance and The Great Repair at the Akademie der Künste, Berlin (2023/24) and as part of Public Art Munich VerhandelBar: unter Einschluss der Öffentlichkeit.
