Disaster strikes during a spacewalk: The space shuttle is destroyed and astronaut Dr. Ryan Stone is left adrift in space - 20,000 km away from Earth. In a nerve-wracking thriller, she fights for her survival. More than in any other film, OSCAR-winning director Afonso Cuarón succeeds in using 3D technology to transport the viewer into the astronaut's world of experience. More space can only be found in space.
