On the weekend around April 26, 2025, the "Great Wine Capital Mainz-Rheinhessen" can be experienced in the form of many culinary delights in Mainz city center. After last year's successful premiere, the "Great Wine Walk" will once again take place in Mainz city center in 2025!

VDP, Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen, Weinland Nahe and mainzplus CITYMARKETING invite you to taste the high-quality wines of renowned winegrowers from German wine regions in Mainz city center on April 26, the day before the VDP Wine Exchange. The "Great Wine Walk" on Saturday, April 26, combines a Saturday stroll through Mainz city center with an exclusive wine tasting in local retail stores.

Selected retail outlets in Mainz will make their store space available to wineries from the VDP, Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen and Weinland Nahe network - making them hosts for guests from near and far. In the stores, the winegrowers welcome guests and offer them sips of their finest wines. During the "Great Wine Walk", all interested ticket holders can immerse themselves in the world of top-class wine as well as the shopping experience in Mainz city center.
