GRENTPEREZ

The Guardian recently profiled Australian-Filipino singer-songwriter grentperez in an in-depth interview, describing him as a "Gen Z crooner (...) who now sings in front of millions". With a total of 463 YouTube videos since 2014, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter has built up an international fanbase and more than 2.3 million followers on his channels across all platforms. In his music, grentperez draws on spheres of 70s rock, bossanova, modern indie and pop, which he skillfully combines with his gentle voice and sensitive lyrics. He celebrated his greatest success to date with the single "Cherry Wine", which has been streamed over 185 million times on Spotify and has gold status in Australia. After nominations at the ARIA Awards, J Awards and the Rolling Stone Australia Awards, grentperez won the APRA Music Award for "Emerging Songwriter of the Year" in 2024.
