Große Wäsche. Tübingen 1914.

In the organizer's words:

A beautiful summer's day in July 1914: in the lower town of Tübingen, the women meet in the wash house not only to do dirty laundry...

They fight their way through life and through the laundry baskets with arguments, mockery, longing and solidarity. Women's suffrage, personal fates and municipal hospitals are negotiated.

On this July 31st, another major topic hovers between the washhouse and the drying area: the possibility of war.
In Tübingen's old town, the washerwomen are joined by adventurous
students, thoughtful professors and women from the upper town
on the move.
Friedrich Hölderlin also gets involved ....
