The 2025 federal election was associated with a highly polarizing campaign and political alliances are currently changing rapidly beyond Germany.
The challenges continue to increase rather than decrease, while at the same time democracy is under enormous pressure. Firewalls are being torn down and supposedly self-evident values are being called into question. Many people are reacting to this with protests. And yet, enemies of the constitution "represent" as much as the population in the German Bundestag and a large proportion of people show little interest in change, even if it is intended to secure our prosperity.
These are complex problems and strong feelings that are also transferred to political and social dynamics - but how does politics provide orientation in these times? What challenges are people in Lower Saxony facing? What strategies are needed to ensure not only structural and economic stability, but also democratic stability, social cohesion and confident prospects? How can people be won over to social investment in the future?
