The second half of Lower Saxony's legislative period begins with a change of Minister President and a cabinet reshuffle. Looking ahead to the next two and a half years, we are interested in finding out which key tasks are the focus of politics in Lower Saxony and what these have to do with us as a society. After all, the challenges facing society as a whole continue to increase rather than decrease, democracy is under enormous pressure and a large proportion of people are showing little interest in change - even if it is intended to secure our prosperity.
These are complex problems and strong feelings that are also being transferred to political and social dynamics - but how can politics provide orientation in these times? How can people be persuaded to invest in the future of society? What strategies are needed to ensure not only structural and economic stability, but also democratic stability, social cohesion and confident prospects?
