Guest Lecture + Talking Cypher

Let's talk about dance! tanzhaus nrw has been supporting urban dance makers for many generations and years. This lecture brings together some representatives and pioneers of this dance history and share their knowledge about important moments, formative events and the future of the urban dance world.
In the first part, the speakers talk about central and personal topics as in a short lecture. The conversation then turns into an interactive exchange based on the Talking Cypher format. Developed by Chanti Flores-Bahadir, the format allows different generations to talk to each other and inspire each other. A special element: an empty chair remains free and can be occupied at any time by a member of the audience - whether to ask a question or contribute their own perspective. The talk is a cultural form of communication - the "Cypher".
