A feminist horror collage by PANDORA

Carrie, Medusa, Marion Crane, Kara (AX400), Jennifer Check, Carmilla - what if the female characters from the horror genre had their say outside of their stories? What if they could laugh, swear and explain the numerous clichés? If they could ask themselves and the audience how FLINTA* could be in horror if they were no longer stuck between sexualized and defenceless?

GUTS, a play development for ages 16 and up, takes the audience through the history of female characters in myth, literature, film and video games and brings the female monstrosity up close and personal on stage. Goosebumps guaranteed!

Theater PANDORA is an association founded by freelance artists in 2021 and based in Mannheim. PANDORA deals with socially relevant topics, shows different realities of life, breaks and plays with clichés, combines seriousness and comedy and searches for answers to omnipresent questions - also and especially in children's and youth theater. How and why is the world changing right now? Do we want everything to stay the way it is? "DICHOTOMIA" (2021) & "SCHMORF" (2023) were the first two productions that set the course for PANDORA's profile. Now PANDORA wants to focus on young adults with the third production "GUTS" (2025) in cooperation with Theaterhaus G7.
