Gwen Dolyn releases her new single "engelboy" on August 14 and announces her highly anticipated debut album "X-Rated feelings", which will be released on November 22, 2024 via Duchess Box Records.

Gwen Dolyn's new song "engelboy" remains true to her thematic line and deals with topics such as desire, sexualization and longing. This time, however, in addition to a grungy sound, she also focuses on more epic sounds that are almost reminiscent of a Bond theme song. The song and the accompanying video are deliberately staged in a sexy way and break with the cliché of innocence that is often projected onto young women by telling these projections from a female perspective. "engelboy" does not shy away from kitsch, but still remains slightly ironic. Gwen Dolyn delivers a work that entertains, provokes and encourages reflection on gender roles without taking itself too seriously.

The album "X-RATED feelings", which contains the singles "ertrinken", "reiner wein" and "mies präpariert", was produced by Thomas Zehnle and Max Reiger.

"X-RATED feelings", is about longing, mental health, feminism and relationships, love, loss and self-empowerment. Their sound is a homage to the raw part of Neue Deutsche Welle and a combination of honest lyrics, grunge, pop sounds and extravagant outfits.

Originally from the capital Berlin, Gwen Dolyn decided to leave the hustle and bustle of the city and now lives in Chemnitz. She is known as one half of the duo Tränen together with Steffen Israel from Kraftklub.
