Martin Taylor & Giovanni Weiss

Two of Europe's most outstanding jazz guitarists are our guests at the Kulturkirche Altona: Martin Taylor, world-famous for his incomparable fingerstyle technique and his masterful, complex playing and BBC Jazz Award and British Jazz Award winner, and Giovanni Weiss, who has not only made a name for himself in the jazz world with his band Django Deluxe with its unmistakable Sinti swing and his two Echo Jazz awards, but also through his collaboration with international stars such as Till Brönner and the NDR Big Band.

On their tour of Germany, the two Gypsy Hearts present us with a unique mixture of swinging jazz pieces inspired by Django Reinhardt, modern interpretations of the All American Sogbook and their own compositions.

We can expect sounds that allow us to feel the depth of the musical souls of Taylor and Weiss, from which the music flows directly into the hearts of the listeners.
