Habib Koité - song poet, virtuoso guitarist and storyteller: with his fascinating sound and captivating stage presence, the artist from Mali is one of Africa's best-known musicians. He can now look back on a 30-year music career. Together with Aly Keïta and Lamine Cissokho, he has now launched his latest project "Mandé Sila", which musically explores the language and culture of West Africa. Keïta demonstrates his dexterity on the balafon, Cissokho masterfully plays the kora and Koité's long-time percussionist Mama Koné is also an excellent musical partner. Together they fuse soul, blues and flamenco elements with modern Afro groove and open the doors to the diverse musical world of West Africa.
