HALLO UND AUF WIEDERSEHEN – Frauen in Grenzgängen des Lebens

In the organizer's words:

Photographer and author Annika Eliane Krause accompanied nine women. Some during the birth of their children - others during illness and death. The result is a book that touchingly spans the transitions at the beginning and end of life.

The women's honest self-exposure breaks with social taboos while preserving the dignity of those portrayed at every moment. In front of the camera and in personal conversations, the protagonists consciously and self-determinedly prepare themselves for their very personal border crossings.

Annika will be reading from her book on May 8 (from 6 p.m.) in the chapel of the Frankenheim funeral home in Düsseldorf Derendorf (Münsterstr. 73, 40476 Düsseldorf). Afterwards, we cordially invite you to view the exhibition with photographs from the project - and for a relaxed exchange over a glass of wine and a snack.
