QUEERHISTORYMONTH
QueerHistoryMonth will take place in Hamburg from May 1 to 31, 2025 (www.queerhistoryhamburg.de). Various events during the festival will bring the history(ies) of the queer community in Hamburg to life. Everyone is welcome - kings, queers, queens, allies, friends, families (of choice) and everyone in between and beyond!
EVENT
In 2025, Hamburg is once again sending a strong signal for diversity and against discrimination. The LSVD+ Hamburg and an action group of over 90 associations, projects, political actors and companies invite you to take part in the RainbowFlash together! On May 17, the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Inter- and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), we will set a visible sign for an open and respectful society at the Rathausmarkt.
Every year on IDAHOBIT(International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia), people all over the world commemorate May 17, 1990, when homosexuality was removed from the World Health Organization's (WHO) diagnostic code and has no longer been officially considered a disease. Every year, May 17 is celebrated as a day of action to fight against discrimination and exclusion of people based on their sexual or gender identity.
Join us, bring your friends and show that Hamburg stands for love, diversity and respect!
