A touching ballet evening in the Elbphilharmonie
The Hamburg Chamber Ballet was founded in the summer of 2022 by Edvin Revazov, himself a celebrated first soloist in the Hamburg Ballet, together with Isabelle Rohlfs - a heartfelt project for community, cohesion and solidarity.
Since then, it has offered displaced young dancers from Ukraine a new artistic home in Hamburg.
In May 2025, the ballet will make its debut together with the outstanding composer and pianist Leon Gurvitch and his ensemble in the Great Hall of the Elbphilharmonie. The musicians and dancers from Germany and Ukraine will present the world premiere of their new joint project for peace with the ballet "Silentium".
The ballet evening will open with "Kintsugi", the ancient Japanese art of "golden mending". The ballet is a tribute to life with all its fractures and to the beauty that arises when people decide to come together again and forgive each other.
