Maxi Valdes Hammond Trio & Jam Session

In the organizer's words:

"Art itself happens in the moment and knows no social, cultural or gender-based differences." Motivated by this philosophy, the Maxi Valdes Hammond Trio has been playing its own music with influences from South and North America, Europe and Africa since 2021. The three musicians are convinced that their music offers an identification for every generation, every gender regardless of origin, skin color, culture and sexual orientation through the strong mixture of different cultures. The band is dedicated to hard bop and improvised groove music, with specially composed pieces and arrangements by well-known artists such as Thelonious Monk, Michael Becker, John Scofield and Joe Henderson. Their sound is characterized by the freedom of groove improvisation and a willingness to take risks. The Maxi Valdes Hammond Trio discovers the music while playing and shares it with their audience. They are constantly looking for collaborations with other musicians to make the music even more alive in the style of hard bop.
