Hammonia Preisverleihung an Dr. Gwladys Awo

The Landesfrauenrat Hamburg e.V. honors Dr. Gwladys Awo for her outstanding commitment against female genital mutilation with the Hammonia!

Among other things, the co-founder of Lessan e.V. initiated the letter of protection against female genital mutilation in Hamburg and, with her association, carries out extensive educational work in society and communities. In Germany, too, 67,000 women are affected by FGM and several thousand girls are at risk.
