Johannes Brahms | Double Concerto in A minor for violin, cello and orchestra op. 102
Friendship in music - in Johannes Brahms' double concerto for violin and cello, we prick up our ears and listen carefully to see if we can even hear friendship through the music. The concerto is reminiscent of a conversation in which the solo instruments talk to each other like two friends, sometimes arguing and then making up again. The composer wrote the double concerto for two friends of his, who then performed the work, with Brahms himself conducting. What do you think, will the violin and cello get along well?
